The price of Netflix and how you pay it can affect how much you enjoy the service. So, being able to choose exactly when the system should charge you each month is a small but important luxury. Here are the steps to changing your billing day and a few tips to keep in mind.
How to Change Your Netflix Billing Day
You can change almost everything on Netflix through the account page, including your billing day—very useful when you’re trying to manage your personal finances.
Log in to Netflix on a desktop browser and do the following:
Hover your profile icon in the top-right. Click Account. Next to Membership & Billing, click Change billing date.
This will take you to a new page that tells you when you currently pay your subscription and lets you choose a different day that better suits your schedule.
If your salary comes in on the 15th of each month, for example, you can ask Netflix to bill you on the 16th.
Simply click the Day dropdown and select the day you want. You’ll notice that you can only choose up to the 27th as an exact date. Your other option is Last day of the month, to cover all end dates.
When you’re ready, click Review & Confirm to finalize the process.
Don’t Give Up on Netflix Just Yet
The option to change your billing day might seem simple, but it’s an important choice to have, and one that sets Netflix apart with its good customer service.
With the serious choices out of the way, you can focus on how to tailor your viewing experience. For example, did you know that Netflix lets you download movies to watch offline on any device?
