Reset GoPro HERO9, HERO8, HERO7 Black, Silver & White
Go to the camera’s main screen and swipe down. Tap Preferences. Tap Reset. Tap Factory Reset. Tap Confirm Reset. This process resets all GoPro settings except Date, Time, Camera Name and Password, Language, and Video Format. There’s a separate menu option to reset the GoPro’s date and time, clear connections, and remove the camera from your GoPro Plus account. Swipe down to access the Dashboard. Tap Preferences. Tap Reset. Tap Reset Defaults. To clear just your device connections and reset the camera’s password, swipe down from the main screen, and tap Preferences > Connections > Reset Connections. Reset GoPro HERO6 Black and HERO5 Black
From the main screen, swipe down. Tap Preferences > Factory Reset > Reset. In addition to Camera Defaults, this process resets date/time, camera username/password, and unregisters the device from your GoPro Plus account. To only reset the Camera Defaults, tap Preferences > Camera Defaults > Reset.
Reset GoPro Fusion
Press the Mode button to power on the camera. Once the camera’s on, press the Mode button repeatedly until you get to Settings. Press the Shutter button to select Settings. Then press the Shutter button five times to get to Preferences. Again, press the Mode button repeatedly until you get to Reset, then press the Shutter button to select it. Press the Mode button to highlight Reset Press the Shutter button to select Reset. The Fusion then automatically restores the factory settings and restarts.
Reset GoPro HERO5 Session
Power the camera off and press the Menu button to turn on the status screen. Press the Menu button repeatedly until you get to Exit Menu. Press and hold the Shutter button for eight seconds. Press the Menu button to move to Yes, then press the Shutter button to select it. This action resets camera defaults, date and time, the camera username and password, and unregisters the device from your GoPro Plus account.
